The Mistress – Tiffany Reisz, she’s always a safe bet. I don’t mean her books are safe. Far from it. What I mean, is it’s always guaranteed to get a fabulous read from her books. I admit to being wary part way through this book. I even thought, for a few chapters, that Ms. Reisz had done the unthinkable, and had completely ruined the Original Sinners Series. So much so, that it did take me quite a while to get in to the book, and understand the story. I had to put it down, and pick it up a few times first, but….when I finally did get there, ooooh for the love of Soren, was it worth it!
I want to say I feel bad for Wesley, but I don’t, you’ll see what I mean. Neither Nora or he were worthy of each other.

I think the reason I found this one, compared to all of her others, so much more difficult, is because there’s just so much going on. With the back story, the story happening now, what’s happened in the past, bringing it all together from the other books etc. It all makes perfect sense by the time you get about 1/3 of the way through, or at least that’s what I found.

Anyhoo, after all the palarva of getting into it, it was a swift read from there on. Grace was something of a miracle character, and not what I expected at all. Wesley was as big a drip as ever, but obviously some people do like big cuddly, romantic types. I’m not belittling that, it’s just not my thing. I was TERRIFIED for Nora. Wow, the stories, they’re amazing, and catch you up on all the history from young Soren, meeting Kingsley, meeting Nora, present day and everything in between. It truly is awesome.
